MONDAY MUNCHIE – Tropical Spirulina Smoothie

OK, we’ve indulged long enough! If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent the past week eating rich foods at irregular hours and your body is craving to go back to a clean routine (and if it doesn’t want to… we can force it. :) )

That’s why I’m excited to share one of my all time favorite smoothie recipes because it’s not only healthy but it’s sweet, smooth, and GREEN. (I always feel good about myself when I eat something green.)

It’s so thick, you need to eat it with a spoon and the flavor centers around my favorite kind of fruit. TROPICAL. Something about the creamy coconut and avocado blended with the sweet yet mellow mango and banana makes my taste buds sing with happiness. Its also perfect for your reusable food pouches.

My body also hums on this smoothie because it has a wonderful balance of carbohydrates and healthy fats so no blood sugar crashes. It is also loaded with enzymes and antioxidants, nature’s housekeeping crew, so it’s a great “detox” breakfast after a night (or a few days) of heavy eating. And for extra brownie points, babies LOVE this smoothie. Its a win win for the whole family!
